June 11, 2009: Northern Illinois Reading Council
will hold its 36th Annual Summer Conference featuring Richard Allington from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Kishwaukee Community College in Malta, Illinois. The cost is $30 for NIRC members, $60 for non-NIRC members. Registration must be postmarked by May 27, 2009. Seating is limited, so register early! For more information,

August 24, 2009: Northern Illinois Reading Council is accepting Program Proposals for the 22nd Annual Fall Reading Conference "Let Literature Shine" on Thursday, September 17, 2009 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kishwaukee College Conference Center, Malta, Illinois.
September 17, 2009: Northern Illinois Reading Council will hold its 22nd Annual Fall Conference "Let Literature Shine" featuring Maria Walther from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Kishwaukee College Conference Center, Malta, Illinois. Early registration is due by September 4, 2009. After September 5, pay at the door. A limited number of box lunches will be available.
March 18-20, 2010: IRC Conference, Lighting the Way to Literacy, in Springfield, Illinois. Please take a moment to peruse the Conference Preview highlighting
the highly respected leaders in the field of reading who will brighten
your way in teaching the children who will be our future leaders.
Registration and housing information will be available by November
2009.
April 25-28, 2010: International Reading Association will host its 55th Annual Convention Reading in Many Languages in Chicago, Illinois. To find out more about this exciting convention, check out the Annual Convention section at www.reading.org.
