Register for the WINTER 2021 IRC BOOK CLUB that begins on January 24, 2021.
Join educators from all over the state in an online book club! Choose one or two books!
Read, reflect on, and respond to Breathing New Life into Book Clubs: A Practical Guide for Teachers by Sonja Cherry-Paul and Dana Johansen AND/OR The Next Step Forward in Word Study and Phonics by Jan Richardson and Michèle Dufresne. Beginning January 24, these seven-week online discussions will help you create successful book clubs using the ILLINOIS READS books AND/OR practical approaches to word study and phonics lessons in your classroom. Participants who complete all assignments will be eligible to receive 15 PD clock hours for each book club. Participants who complete one book club during the winter will have the opportunity to participate in the other one during the spring session, which will be offered in March.

Register by January 24, 2021, to participate in the book club. Registration is FREE for IRC Members. The cost for non-members is $45, which includes IRC membership for one year. Book club participants also have the opportunity to attend sessions with Sonja Cherry-Paul and Jan Richardson at the 2021 IRC Conference.
