Join educators from all over the state in an online book club! Choose one or two books!
Read, reflect on, and respond to Teaching Writing by Lucy Calkins and/or 180 Days by Kelly Gallagher and Penny Kittle. Beginning October 25, these seven-week online discussions will share the newest insights to teaching writing today and/or the collaboration of two master teachers in planning, teaching, reflecting, and decision-making over an entire school year. Participants who complete all assignments will be eligible to receive 15 PD clock hours for each book club.

Register by October 25, 2020, to participate in the book club. Registration is FREE for IRC Members. The cost for non-members is $45, which includes IRC membership for one year.
IRC members will have the opportuity to particate in the Winter 2021 IRC Book Club with Breathing New Life into Book Clubs: A Practical Guide for Teachers by Sonja Cherry-Paul and Dana Johansen AND/OR The Next Step Forward in Word Study and Phonics by Jan Richardson and Michèle Dufresne. The book clubs will begin on January 24, 2021. Please watch for online registration to start on November 2nd.
